The first kind is to reduce the crossing levels with the concentration of near
crossings of the same line. With the development of this first program the number
of crossings is reduce and the ones that will be left will have a automatic
security system.
The present situation of this kind of foreseen actions is the following:
1. Lliria-Paterna: the works are being done and they will be finished in the
first part of the next year.
2. Rafelbuñol-Alboraya: it is writed the building project, that has passed
the public information and the studies about the environment. At the moment
it is in supervision and the expropriations have been begun.
3. Bétera-Empalme: the works will be bitted in the period between July
and September of 1999.
4. Valencia Sud-Benifayó: the works will be bitted to in the same period.
5. Alginet-Castelló de la Ribera: the different alternatives are being
studied.
The second kind of actions is directed to remove the level crossings, specially
the ones that permit the building of the structure of a pass over or under the
railway. In this case it will be studied a hierarchy of priorities that will
be done according of the crossing traffic and the urban characters of the zone
where the level crossing is placed.
The foreseen actions of this second king are the following:
1. Removal of three level crossings in Almácera: the works will be bitted
in the first period of six months of this year.
2. Removal of a level crossing in Picaña: it will be bitted between the
months of April and June of 1999.
3. Removal of one level crossing in La Eliana: this project is included in the
duplication of the Líria and La Eliana rail. The writing of the building
project will be done in the first three months of 1999. The duplication project
includes the removal of one level crossing of the Plá in Ribarroja del
Turia.
4. At the present the removal is in public information process in the following
towns: Moncada, Picassent, Burjassot, La Puebla de Garnals, Rafelbuñol,
Albalat dels Sorells and Valencia (Benimamet in the CV-367 road)
