GOING BACK TO THE 17th BY THE CERVANTES' TRAIN

Renfe, in collaboration with Alcala de Henares Council, has put in service a new ocassion of the Cervantes' Train, an special train which joins Madrid with this town Humanity Wealth, place where was borned the important writer Miguel de Cervantes. It is a service of cultural tourism which will circulate until the day 28th of November, so that you have had yet time to travel to the 17th.

This program has been put in service another time because the success and the demand recieved last Spring ocassion which it was last months of April, May and June, and it was used by 1,496 travellers during eight weekends. In this time that train joins Madrid-Atocha and Alcala de Henares stations. The train leaves from the Spanish capital at 11 o'clock in the morning all Saturdays and Sundays until 8th of November and will be 20 minutes before the departure hour in a platform which will be announced previously, and it has a reception service for the passangers.

During this journey, which is 25 minutes long, the avid visitor will be able to enjoy some tastings of the tipical foodstuffs from Alcala, anyway the Cervantine performances done by six pepole belonging to the theatre group Alicuecano, company specialist in classic theatre and "entremeses" from the Spanish Golden Age. When the train arrives at Alcala de Henares, the passangers will be wellcome by the student music group at the station and then some local guides will carry them to show the most important monuments from its historical center, above all those one that are relationed to the life of the great writer Cervantes. Therefore, during the visit across Alcala streets will be accompanied by the actors and actresses to make pleasant the journey along the different monuments which make up this journey.

When the guided visit would finish, the travellers will have free time to eat and see freely the city, for that the Cervantes' train program offers a discount 10% off to the people who want to eat in some restaurant most important of this city. The hour of the return trip to Madrid will be at 18.10 p.m. hours from Alcala station, during whose journey will be raffle among the travellers a Quijote lux book from the Centre of studies of Cervantes, a book completely updated. At 18.35 p.m. the train will arrive at Atocha station where will finish the Cervantes' train services.

The travel has a price of 1,900 pesetas for adults and 1,400 pesetas for children, tickets which can be bought in all the Renfe's Nearness stations or in all the travel agencies which sell Long Distances tickets. Another possibility to arrive at one of the most important ages of the history of the Spanish literature travelling across those places which were well known by Cervantes while he thought how he could write the most important book in the world-wide literature: El Ingenioso Hidalgo Don quijote de la Mancha.
