ALARIS, THE NEW MADRID-VALENCIA LINE SERVICE

MADRID OFFICE

Renfe is going to name ALARIS to the new product that will run in the Madrid-Valencia line since the next 16th of January. With this name, the company finally breaks with a commercial model based in the naming of the products that coincides with the type of train (TER, Expreso, Rápido, Intercity...) and finally bets on a commercial strategy based on some namings of new products that evoke quality, modernity and customer service. Renfe already started this strategy with AVE and continued with EUROMED. ALARIS is other step in this model that will have continuity in other lines and new products.

The ALARIS doesn't replace other train in service. Although Renfe is going to remove the old Intercity from the Madrid-Valencia line, ALARIS is a new product that breaks with all that was identified with railway service. ALARIS means not only the starting of a new train-built by Alstom and Fiat-but the introduction fo a new concept of station services too-with Club places in the main terminals, free parking, reception- and, mainly on board-welcome drink, restaurant service included in the ticket price (in preferential area), lended by Wagons-Lits, etc.-.

The ALARIS will have a high number of departures both from Madrid and from Valencia. Two daily services arrives to Gandía and Castellón, towns which have a big number of passengers from Madrid.

The services aboard are the main part of the ALARIS concept.

MODERNITY, QUALITY AND SERVICE

According with the company, "with this new naming, Renfe breaks with a model based on technnical names and finally bets on a model more sophisticated, that speaks about modernity, quality and service".

"ALARIS has many relations with other words, mainly with a latin origin. Is an easy name to pronounce, that evokes directly the idea of flying, that transmits the sensation of movement, speed, lightness. At the same time, ALARIS communicates exclusiveness, differentiation and credibility", have said the responsibles of the company.

According with the creatives of this new naming, "ALARIS is a name that evokes the world of the flights, trips, the overcoming of the ground obstacles to carry the passenger to the destination. The same name transports you flying quickly and comfortably".

The ALARIS will join Madrid and Valencia with many services; other two trains arrives each day to Gandía and Castellón.
