TRADE UNION CRISIS IN RENFE



Nowhere is easy the search for a valid syndical model in actual moments. But the last happenings in Renfe show as far as needed a serious reflexion by everybody. Very specially by part of syndical leaders, but it would be wrong Renfe direccion if though that disorder in trade union movement be benefict a medium time. Go back a reasonable united and good sense from railway trade unions is somenthing that must be wonder every Renfe sensible people.

Last incidents in the last months plus a hugh irrelevant remarks and tenseness that remaind it is very escandalous. Strikes, hard word from side to the other side, breakings, unbelieveble aliances, sabotage accusations, parcial signatures in a collective bargain, takeover from own federal organism.... Too much conflicts together like that not indicate a deep crisis.

One of clasic problems of Renfe syndical movements have been his inclination for using travellers like way of pression. The unpopulars strikes in very neccessity dates for using trains, was the most efective but is difficult to value its cost in discredit in front of public opinion, a price for railway be multiply in a moment that iniciatives for privatization and take apart is not just a hypotect, but it is very real.

But still is not have seen a negociation in that collective bargain live like an awful from one class syndicate to another and it finish with an intervention of one of them by his federal directive, while the elitist engine drivers syndicate is brought into an alliance with the most radical syndicate, anarcosindycalist original.

Every organization is free for going on to the action line that they want, but show-times like we are saw put on surface the urgent neccessity that sindycates find ways for worker interest without his action was an excellent argument for convincing public opinion of suitability to privatize and divide the company.
