Locomotora eléctrica 269-604, remolcando un Talgo III. Su velocidad está limitada a 160 km/h. El resto de la serie 269.600 no son iguales a las demás 269, ya que montan convertidores chopper para el control de los motores de tracción. Los motores y la estructura de la locomotora si que es igual al resto de 269. El origen de estas locomotoras fue probar la tecnología chopper de Mitsubishi. Fueron utilizadas para los primeros ensayos de alta velocidad en ancho español.

The rest of the 269.000 serie are not the same than the 269, because they have chopper converters for the control of the traction engines. Engines and structure of the locomotive is similar to the rest of 269. The origin of these locomotives was to probe the chopper technology of Mitsubishi. They were used to experiment with high speed trains in Spanish gauge.
