


The construction of this line was planned in 1883 and the works were begun in 1903. The first part opened in 1910 and the last strech was completed on 6th August of 1927. This train is very attactive for people in the summer .
The electrification of the Madrid-Avila-Segovia line
The electrification of the Madrid-Avila-Segovia (MAS) line was the first completed by Renfe, although its original plan dates back to 1928 and was proposed by the North Company. It was a line of steep gradientes, criterion that was necessary at that time in the electrifications, and it supposed to replace steam traction only in the parts where which more power and adhesive weight were required for the engines.Delicias station
Built for the Railway Company of Madrid to Ciudad Real, the station was inaugurated on 30 of March, 1880. The station was designed by the french ingeneer Emile Cacheliévre, who directed the constructions along with the Spaniard Calleja.
